Avalon - For the safety of all, why can’t Avalon mandate no bikes on Dune Drive after 11 a.m.? Ocean City has this rule on their Boardwalk. No one rides a bike any other time of the year until they come to the shore. Therefore, we have inexperienced bikers, distracted drivers backing out of parking spaces and pedestrians crossing without even looking. Just because one crosses at a crosswalk doesn’t mean they have no accountability for their own safety! Wake up Avalon before someone gets hurt!
