Avalon - Obama needs to appoint a Supreme Court justice while he's still president. He is still president whether the GOP likes it or not. He needs to bypass Congress and appoint his own nominee. Trump should not be allowed to pick Scalia's replacement. Once Trump gets in, there will be nothing to keep him in check. The GOP, unfortunately, controls Congress. Obama can help preserve a limited line of defense against the GOP's backward agenda by replacing Scalia. The Trump regime is going to be dangerous.
