Avalon - According to CNN, in 2017, 1,127,167 people were granted lawful permanent residence in the U.S. Mexico led with 168,980, followed by China with 66,479 and Cuba with 64,749. There were 6.6 million undocumented immigrants from Mexico in 2014, followed by 700,000 from El Salvador and 640,000 from Guatemala. 54% of unaccompanied alien children were from Guatemala, followed by 26% from Honduras and 12% from El Salvador. 71% were boys and over 70% of the children aged 14 to 17.
