Avalon / Radnor - Re: Avalon homes debacle, isn’t the state Department of Consumer Affairs supposed to be looking out for consumers? Instead, they supposedly told the construction official to issue the certificate of occupancy and hope there were no warranty issues for the next 10 years. And, he went along with it. The warranty regulations are also in place for consumer protection. For government employees this is called IBG UBG (I’ll be gone, you’ll be gone). By the time this hits the fan, both employees hope to be retired and collecting their pension.
