Cape May / Bedminster Township - My wife and I have been coming to Cape May for 34 years, and have always loved it. It has been our home away from home. One of the many things we loved about it was the Sunset Ceremony at Sunset Beach, honoring the lives of our veterans. After a brief summary of their service to our country, the flag that draped their caskets was lowered each night at sunset. On our last visit to Sunset Beach, we were informed that the flag is now lowered at 7 p.m. Military tradition and universal custom requires our colors to be lowered at sunset. Shame on them for their disrespect to our flag. Why not take a knee?
