Wildwood - As Christmas is approaching it gets very depressing for many people. As a senior citizen taxpayer I wonder how I will be able to buy presents for my family. I need to scrimp just to pay my city taxes. Then I read the front page of The Herald. Forty police officers who cost the city over 4 million a year, 27% of the budget. With about 4 thousand local citizens, that amounts to one officer for every 100 residents. With several Deputy Chiefs, Captains, Lt's, Sgts. Wildwood had a retired cop ,who was the business manager and negotiated the police contracts.
