I do not understand why people put mulch around their trees.

Upper Township - I do not understand why people put mulch around their trees. It looks nice but it's actually very bad as mulch holds moisture and rots the stump. They will very easily come down when there is a windstorm, especially around pine trees. Please stop doing that.
