Anyone who claims to support this project and also professes to be an environmentalist is so misguided. Offshore wind turbines are disastrous for whales and dolphins. Moreover, even if the construction and upkeep of wind turbines didn't harm whales or dolphins, they would have a negligible impact on reducing carbon emissions. Politicians, the Sierra Club, and Audubon Society are sacrificing animal life on the altar of more expensive and inefficient energy.
