Sea Isle City - It appears, based on a recent memo from the St. Joseph parish committee, that hopes for negotiation and/or reconciliation have been dashed and that the committee is digging in on their unilateral position. I, for one, have suspended giving to the parish and am directing my contributions to Catholic Charities of Philadelphia. May I suggest, in the spirit of reconciliation and common sense, a referendum be held among registered parish members to guide our pastor and the committee on the opinions of the whole congregation, not just the thoughts of a committee of fine, but vested, individuals.
