Wondering If Township is paying workers compensation for the Vol

Middle Township - Wondering If Township is paying workers compensation for the Volunteer Squad. As paid employees or volunteers. Due to they are being paid by squad. My concern is if someone gets hurt they would have to report to workers compensation they received money for the job they did running calls. And if that is the case ,the township should have them as paid employees. With worker compensation.
