Middle Township - In order to receive a mail-in ballot or an absentee ballot in NJ, you must first APPLY to do so. You can get the Cape May County application on line by going to the County Clerk’s web page. You have to complete it precisely and send it back before an election ballot is mailed to you. I suggest you follow directions carefully so that neither application or ballot is questionable to the Clerk. The only difference between a mail-in ballot and an absentee ballot is your location at the time you CAST it. People who are old, snowbirds, or travel do it all the time. Safe at home, we can too.
