Why don't they install wind farms onshore here?

Court House - Why don't they install wind farms onshore here? They have many in England and must have research regarding their effectiveness as well as any negative issues. From what I have read they are easier to install and maintain on land. My husband suggests putting them down the middle of the parkway. However, I'd rather see them along the Delaware Bayshore. I understand you can continue to farm under them. By the way, I'm not a NIMBY, I live by the Delaware Bay.
