Avalon - Spouters should stop making ridiculous comparisons of voter ID laws with ID requirements for such things as food stamps, bus passes, and boarding airplanes. Voting is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Other ID requirements cited are not rights, they are privileges. Voter ID laws are clearly designed to infringe on voters' rights and to suppress voting by certain segments of our society. As such, they are assaults on the Constitution. They are a "solution" searching for a problem that doesn't exist.
