Avalon - An Avalon Spouter thinks that "we took prayer out of schools." We did not. Any child may pray at any time in school, as long as doing so does not interfere with the purpose of school: to educate. Public schools are just that - schools for children of the public, not schools for children of the Christian faith. Public schools may no more show favoritism to children of one faith over children of another faith, than they may show favoritism based on color of skin, nationality, or a child's gender. Children can pray in church or Sunday school, at home, in a multitude of places as well as school.
