Austin, Texas - Why masks work. In Japan, they never shut down the economy, can't require social distancing due to crowded conditions and have done minimal testing for Covid-19. They do however wear masks. Japan has recorded less than a 1,000 deaths due to this Corona Virus. In America, we've had over 130,000 deaths due a lack of a cohesive mask wearing initiatives and misinformation. Masks work because they contain the aerosol spread from the mask wearer. Wearing a mask is a sign of emotional intelligence and respect for the health of those around you. Be socially responsible and please wear a mask.
